Sketchbook: Wood Stove
One of the warmest things about spending the holidays in the country is getting to sit by the wood burning stove/ fire place to sketch.
It rained, which kind of put a damper on the hiking plans I'd had, but I'm glad I got to do some sketching either way.

Draw a distorted mesh over a magazine photo and transcribe the portrait onto a unform grid. I used the veil that Linda was wearing as the refernce mesh for this goache sketch. This can be a fun way of doing caricatures.
I've been busy lately. Aside from getting serious about starting my own animation production house in KW, and doing the first casual pitch of "raccoon & possum" to friends, I've joined the Toronto Animated Image Society. Their recent seminar "Pitching for Animation" at the NOW Lounge last week was very educational.
